Emma Bahadurian Minasian (B.A. Elementary Education) has been actively involved in community affairs in the Detroit area for 50 years. Mrs. Minasian was instrumental in establishing and maintaining the Focus Armenia Medical Program, which provides medical equipment and supplies to hospitals in Armenia, St. John's Armenian Church Sunday School and Armenian Language School, the Armenian Radio Hour in Detroit, and The Armenian Cooperative Nursery School. Mrs. Minasian has been an active member of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra Volunteer Association serving as Co-Chair of its main fundraising event, the Musical Feast Program. Mrs. Minasian taught as a substitute teacher in the public school system for several years.

Mrs. Minasian is fluent in English and Armenian, and is conversant in Turkish and French.
