Teryl Minasian Asher (B.A., Literature; Juris Doctor; LL.M. Taxation) practiced law, with a concentration in the areas of taxation and estate planning, for 25 years. Ms. Asher was a partner in two law firms prior to establishing her own law firm which she, together with her partners, operated for over ten years before retiring from the practice of law. Ms Asher has been active in community affairs in the Detroit area for 20 years. Her community affiliations include serving on the Board of Directors of the Institute of Music and Dance, the Center for Creative Studies (currently the College of Creative Studies), the Chamber Music Society of Detroit, the Detroit Chamber Winds, and the International Institute of Detroit, on whose Board she served as President. In addition, Ms. Asher was a member of the Speakers' Bureau of the Women's Economic Club of Detroit. Currently Ms. Asher serves on the Board of Directors of the Antiquaries of the Detroit Institute of Arts. Ms. Asher is conversant in French and Armenian. |
